Three of Elvis's biggest hits

Danke! Lovely to be back.
A listing! In all honesty I don't know if this will end up being true or not - it'd be great if it was, even so far in the future.
Quite right too! Thanks! (G)
Hello! We are back with a new episode, picking up 1961 with a clutch of questionably themed songs, the Big O, and a disagreement over a Moody River! Enjoy! plinkhq.com/i/1531129636...
Coming on Monday, the next ep, which I may dub 'The Boone Ultimatum' for reasons that will become clear. (G)
The guv’nor will be back soon with a groovy new concept!
You’ll be able to listen to that on Sundays and then get stuck into our Billboard magazine-based episodes on a Monday.
It’s a 60s magazine based bonanza in Beatles Podcast Land!

We have many towns...
Folks, if you follow us and we don’t follow you, do reply to us and we’ll follow back.
I think we get a lot of ‘accidental’ Football follows because we’ve got Liverpool and Stoke in our bio and so we’re sorry if we’ve not engaged with our actual genuine online pals!
Ha! Brilliant!
The good thing about him being so young then is that had a great long career after that and he’s great whenever he turns up in anything.
(I am 47, for contrast!)
Although I must say the issue of Rave that's taken from is great - tonnes of stuff surrounding the making of A Hard Day's Night, even if it is dressed up in fab teen lingo.
I like the idea that you'd ever have looked at Lennon and thought... "Dig those muscles!"
I never thought of that! Although I suspect from the moment he downed tools at his apprenticeship and Neil and Mal entered the picture, George never changed a plug himself again!
Short article from rave magazine beginning Surprise! George could be very hand around the home... When he left school, George became an apprentice in electrical engineering then going on to say John was a labourer in Germany.
I do love a good Beatle 'fact'. I think the (very short) time John did any manual labour has become mangled in this snippet from April 1964's Rave magazine to suggest he was doing it in Germany!
Great night. Lovely Beatle People. x
Certainly was. Hope there's plenty more opportunity to come in the future!
Lovely to see you in person! A very pleasant evening.
(wrong Paul Abbott linked though - @pablovich.bsky.social !)
Paul from Big Sort stood in front of a bookcase, wearing a t-shirt with Richard Vernon from A Hard Day’s Night on it.
Wore my Richard Vernon t-shirt to @samiraahmeduk.bsky.social ‘s talk on her A Hard Day’s Night book tonight, because I am a smart lad.
Thursday on Noisebox Radio...
9pm - Steve Binnie is hunting down Beatles covers in 'Outside The Box: Beatless'
10pm - its vinyl all night at 'The Salford Record Society', with Glenn.

I'll be down the front in the mosh-pit for Samira's event tonight.
In the next ep on Monday I mentioned that I am still waiting for the test vinyl cutting of my new album, well, it came... (and sounds fab). Will hopefully be available along with the CD edition soon! G
You're welcome!
Now and then, I put together compilations (paid for mind!) of the tracks I've wanted to hear again amongst my listening to Smash Hits reviewed albums & singles fr the 80s.
Shout out to @bigsort.bsky.social for their episodes on post Beatles singles and b sides for the George Harrison tracks!
This week in 1971: for the first of three weeks, and never again afterwards, all four Beatles had solo hits in the UK top 40 at the same time:
John with Power to the People (#10), Paul with Another Day (#11), George with My Sweet Lord (#25), and Ringo (new at #29) with It Don't Come Easy.
An infant holds a baby on a brilliantly brown stripy 1980s settee.
(Prof. Farnsworth Voice) Good news, everyone!
BBSO/BSSO will be back next week, picking up with episode 6 and the songs at #1 in Billboard, late May to Mid June 1961.
Any promotional shouting about the show you can do would be great. As you can see, we've been shouting together since 1981!
