Some exciting developments on the filming front over the next few months for the YouTube channel - including a few collaborations I’m really looking forward to.
Looking forward to sharing more content soon.

Been a bit quiet as of late as I am working on a website for my wife's jewellery business. I started it off with designing one for Decimus just to get back into coding and design as its been years since I did anything. I am very happy how it looks and its about 50% done.
Robothal
Was my long standing ambition to make this control box that Ian throws down the elevator shaft. The idea was that it would play videos on the screen but also double up as a toolbox while at comic cons while being a prop within itself. The problem is transporting it, its nearly as big as a Dalek.
Now have a model for the blue button that was used in the movie. Which will be 3D Printed and added to the Dalek Corridor set.
Given Doctor Who Series Production is based in Cardiff, they often filmed in Cardiff and the area outside. Two of the following were literally within 3 miles of my house, where I have walked on many occasions.
May take a drive down to deepest darkest Dorset in the summer to Winspit Quarry, where Destiny of the Daleks was filmed. Not been to Dorset for a good 6+ years and its a county I haven't really explored (only first went there in 2012). Reminds me of Devon/Cornwall.
Not my photo:
I now have all the Dr Who books/comics that I originally had back between 1993-1995. This is the latest. I believe the beautiful Movie Dalek was built by Julian Vince and it was this book that prompted me to contact him 31 years ago about building a Dalek. By 1995 my interests changed.
Nostalgia, I guess. Though you don’t strike me as the type to be burdened with that sentimental attachment.
Well I wish you well in your crusade, unfortunately there is too much money to be made from it. Maybe eventually people will have enough, I hoped the same might apply to online shopping and returning to the High Street but don't see it happening.
I do actually see your point and I am not a huge fan of it, I was playing the other week that's all. You need to tell this to all those content creators who are pushing it (and making money from it). Instead of hiring people like you, which they could afford unlike hobbyists like me.
Thanks to two friends Terry Cooper and Sam Kayes (CAD design and for 3D printing) these ended up turning out amazing. I currently have a 3rd that I may look to add a servo so that it does some subtle movements.
There is actually very little from the Movies that has not been circulated 50 times. If I was making a book that was going to generate some income (instead of being out of pocket) then I would be happy to pay an artist. This is a hobby, I don't do it for money.
I can see why people don't like it, especially professionals as it allows someone with no artistic talent to create this, which is passable. However there is no way I could afford to pay someone to do this for what is hobby material - it's not making money therefore could not justify paying for it.
This year I have had Dalek Vexx 7 years and I really need to have him motorised, so that I can be less reliant upon just having Decimus. So starting when the weather gets better/warmer (April/May hopefully), I will document his progress.
Our ancestors would see us as an embarrassment, changing everything in order to not offend. If people don't have common sense, then they should stay in thier own countries where they won't be offended.
Not watched 4k as I don't own a TV and my computers are not new enough. I have to learn AI for my job so learning how to use it better for prompts. I am iffy about AI but it's here to stay, so I am using it as a tool. Certainly improved my understanding with prompts.
The photo that we never took at the Queens Platinum Jubilee Pageant.
Images captured from Dr Who and the Daleks and enhanced with AI. This is a compromise due to the age of this film and very little high resolution digital media.
New video up!

I used to love Halloween and this time of year but it really has lost it's novelty along with Comic Cons. These days its playing Quake on PC (best FPS ever), getting back into Heroquest and Radio Control Model Aircraft. Here is a level I am making as well as one of my model aircraft.
This was taken two years ago, when we went to a college in Birkenhead, Liverpool to help a student with a fan film.
Comic Cons are great for trundling the Dalek in a safe, dry and flat location but I must admit, other then seeing amazing things at Project Dalek a lot of Comic Cons are starting to loose thier novelty.
I'm going to be taking a leave of absence from attending Comic Con's - at least for the rest of this year. I need to concentrate on other things and taking the Dalek out is getting expensive. I don't do it for money but I would rather not be out of pocket in these "trying times".
Unfortunately due to transport issues, Dalek Decimus won't be attending Comic Con Wales.
I think a group of us with Daleks should do a publicity stunt and go to London and say we are taking over Parliament as they are inferior beings...
Dalek Decimus will be attending Comic Con Wales on 9th-10th August with Project Dalek. As things currently stand, I won't be doing any other Comic Cons for the rest of the year unfortunately.
