Thanks. His motivations are quite clear by now. My worry is more that there are 2 forces at play here and while we focus a lot on Trump's irrational and irresponsible desires, it is all entirely in line with the NSS. But maybe I am seeing this too much as some sort of unchangable bible?

This, unfortunately, makes all this Greenland talk even more scary.

It's not just Trump that wants Greenland. The US' new National Security Strategy predicts that some European countries will become unrecognisable and unreliable due to mass migration. It assumes NATO cannot defend Greenland in 20 years.
