"Kash Patel will henceforth be referred to as J Edgar Boozer" is one of the all time great headlines..

There's a pretty signification national competitive advantage (as well as derisking based on fuel requirements) for countries that head down this path @chrisbowenmp.bsky.social

Just saying..

For the record: The Washington Post is run by partisan hacks who think we won't remember that they took the *exact* opposite stance when it was Republicans pushing their own gerrymandering grab in Texas last year -- *without* putting it up for a vote.

To start with you’re going to need to cut down on your drinking and secondly and related, those aren’t diesel. They’re chardonnay.

This is a much more accurate description of what was a poorly worded phrase.

97% of global internet traffic doesn’t traverse those cables.

There is a refrain that “if only” this thing that’s absolutely not going to happen.. was to happen is applied the Labor.

Which is a tad odd because you might as well say “if only the Liberal National coalition fixed this badly designed Labor scheme then..”

Which is also not a thing.

Well the Native American population tend to agree that immigration did cause a *LOT* of preventable disease outbreaks - if the colonists (RFK Jrs ancestors) had just stayed home then..

I’m hearing that Hamas builds CnC infrastructures below synagogues?

🤷🏾🤪

“We are helping too many providers to buy Ferraris” might be a tad more workable..

And we now cut to our reporter interviewing @johnb78.bsky.social and waiting for John to take a big sip of tea before asking “But how will Britain maintain its Empire if it (re)joins the EU?”

Government by Oligarchs and Pedophiles

12 hours ago 1 1 0 0

Can the Iranian government last longer than Trump and the USA doing war crimes against Iran is indeed a question to ask..

“I went to the US to chase aliens” as a lede in 2026 is perhaps a poor choice of words unless this is a pro ICE piece..

Learning from @theonion.com that GOP quietly rebranded to “Good Old Pedophiles” to meet truth in advertising legal requirements is quite amazing really.

13 hours ago 1 0 1 0

It’s quite simple.

The books author is Hamas.

UQ can neither confirm nor deny this so.. 🤷🏾🤪🤦🏾

So the obvious question to ask is why isn’t your office and party going harder..

This stuff isn’t going to get easier or cost less by delaying the inevitable..

13 hours ago 1 0 0 0

How is this possible? I understood various people (particularly in the other place) said we all died by now?

🤷🏾🤪

It’s not commonly understood that ANZAC stands for:

“Adam Needs Zoloft Almost Constantly”

when he has to read general takes on why the ADF is great actually.

Where does the NDIS make payments to individuals now?

Am I misunderstanding the point this makes?

13 hours ago 0 0 0 0

There's a few comments like this being posted, and I think it's worth clarifying for people that they do unhelpfully misconstrue how the NDIS works. There are no payments to individuals, and there also aren't really 'loopholes' created by the Coalition, they're consequences of scheme design.

It’s also not particularly rational to spend the extra to remove all the on prem pipe work - but some folk *really* don’t want to have any ability to have gas come back in and I get that POV..

14 hours ago 1 0 0 0

Not in Vic but my neighbour is a plumber and gasfitter and has noted a chunk of his work now is gas disconnection.

Some of his work is people *paying* him not just for the disconnection and meter removal pre work (appliance disconnection) but to remove the pipe work on the property completely..

There will be days and weeks of discourse - large chunks of which will be politically driven because it’s a complex AND complicated problem and solution.

And that discourse will not particularly be useful or in good faith.

Where does all the NDIS money go and how did we get here? With more changes surrounding the NDIS set to be announced, here’s everything you need to know about the scheme.

The general media coverage about the proposed NDIS changes have been predictably terrible which is very sad in terms of public discourse.

The ABC hasn’t been great either but this specific reporting by Evan Young and national disability affairs reporter Nas Campanella was quite useful.

Circadian rhythms in Mexican blind cavefish Astyanax mexicanus in the lab and in the field - Nature Communications Body clocks modulate physiological processes to follow a day–night cycle, but whether animals exposed to constant darkness express circadian rhythms is unknown. Here the authors examine the expression...

Cavefish are a noted exception to fish generally having a circadian rhythm.

They will develop one of taken out of their natural environment and are in a lab.

They are otherwise behaviourally arrhythmic.
