Oh, the memories! I felt the same way when I went through the Shay lessons a couple years ago. Stick with it and put every sentence of it into your Anki! A surprising amount of juniors lack the fundamentals - but having a strong foundation will give you an edge when you move into frameworks!

I am loving it! The OG is a core part of my childhood. While Rebirth is not perfect, its highs are SO, SO high that it is easily in my top 3 games of all time.

In the very few off-hours I've had this month, been playing FFVII Rebirth PC at max settings w/ReShade and oh my gosh it is soo beautiful! Along w/some QoL mods, this run's blowing my PS5 playthrough out of the water!

You totally should! "Strange kind of magic" is spot on. There's some element of fantasy/folklorish magic to much of Miyazaki's work, but Mononoke's hits me on another level.
