The Western U.S. is facing a monumental water crisis and pressure is mounting on holders of water rights (and land rights) throughout the Colorado River Basin. Land trusts are a crucial tool in protecting both agricultural lands and the water rights associated with those properties.

Mount St. Helens Institute has reached their capacity for day-only programs, and their facilities do not currently support any overnight accommodations. In partnership with the Forest Service, they are pursuing turning an underutilized visitor center into a thriving hub for programs, camps & lodging
