#langsky I'm starting Estonian B2 classes next week!

Yeah, in my case the similarities between languages can be quite tricky ๐Ÿ˜…

#langsky started learning Estonian 2y ago today!

(from your profile I'm assuming you're Finnish, so I wonder if the similarities is what also gets a bit in the way in this case? I had studied Finnish on my own for about 2 years before I started learning Estonian and as my Estonian skills improved, I feel like the Finnish got wiped out ahah)

His classes seem to be moving very fast, so I might try to keep up so that we can practice together later on

#langsky I've been kinda hyped with French ngl so I might actually buy a textbook (even though I should just focus on Estonian). My friend also sent me the PDFs they use in class, which is mainly dialogue/grammar focused.

#langsky a friend of mine started to take French in uni โ€“ which of course led me to doing French on Duolingo, and realizing I remember more from my 3 years in French 15 years ago than I had assumed (plus, bringing what I don't from the back of my brain).
This is actually being fun!

I know I kinda disappeared, but with my current job (crazy shifts and completely depleted social energy) plus my Estonian classes, I end up not having energy/time for social media, but hopefully I'll be back soon enough. I do miss the community

#langsky I'm finally taking a TEFL course online

I do wish I've done it before, but couldn't afford to and had to work the whole summer and saving up for it...hopefully it's not for nothing

#langsky do you know that Australian language youtuber that speaks Swedish and Spanish? Just saw him in Tallinn this morning

#langsky just to let you guys know I passed the B1 exam with 74%! The Speaking part was weak (50-59%), which is not surprising, but still better result than I expected.

And I started B1 classes this week too. Which is great, I had assumed I would only get them after the summer

#langsky anyone has iTalki promo codes?

Thinking of getting my first tutoring from there to prepare for my speaking exam, but can never find the youtuber's codes when I need one

Absolutely overwhelmed to be in the presence of the first-ever printed book to use the Cherokee syllabary, the Cherokee Constitution of 1827. At the American Antiquarian Society.

I think Babbel is certainly one of the most famous ones for German (it's also a German one and has it to higher levels). I know someone from langstagram/languagestudygram wrote her master's on it, so maybe you can even find it to use as a source

I've never been myself (mind you that I haven't visited Denmark either, I was just on airport layover ahah)

Finished the level 2 Inuktitut course, now starting level 3. I think this is the last level course offered to non-Inuit so I'm going to have to fight my social anxiety and start using it out in the community. #langsky #inuktitut

This would've been great to know when I was in the Copenhagen airport and didn't know exactly how much I would be paying for an expresso...(my data wasn't working yet because of it being abroad, so I couldn't look it up online)

But maybe this year I will go to Sweden and this will certainly ๐Ÿ‘Œ

#langsky I reached the end of the textbook btw (without doing the exercises). I will eventually go through it again and do them while reviewing, but for now I'll just be focusing on reviewing my class notes for the test this week and doing mock exams for the exam this weekend
