You’ll be placed in a small group of learners studying the same language as you, where you can check in daily, share progress, and keep each other motivated over two weeks.

The etymology of έξυπνος (έξ + ύπνος = out of/from + sleep), which means ‘smart,’ is interesting. One might see it is as a state contrasted with the unconscious state of sleep, but it seems possible that it should instead be thought of as a consequence thereof.

SuperChinese Challenge Day 15!
L5-12: Vocabulary 2: 盒子,打开,只好,重新
My brain's a pierced 盒子—
I 打开 it, hoping to find,
But 只好 dig through the mess,
And 重新—I've lost my mind.
脑袋像扎了孔的盒子,
打开——什么都没留下,
只好从头再来,
重新,重新,重新……

white/cream background. At the top, two thin horizontal gold lines frame the text "READ IN CADERNOS DE LINGUÍSTICA" in small uppercase black letters. Below, in large serif font, the question: "Why does the word 'microchip' make some people reject vaccines?" A short gold horizontal line separates the question from the body text beneath. The body text, in a smaller serif font, reads: "A single word can activate an entire web of associations in the mind of someone already exposed to a false narrative. This cognitive mechanism is called a frame, and it is the main weapon of disinformation texts." The words "false narrative" are highlighted with a pale yellow marker effect. The lower half of the card is empty. In the bottom-left corner, the Cadernos de Linguística logo appears in dark gray: a stylized open book formed by diagonal lines.

It does make a lot of sense to learn a language based on its logical structure rather than based on your mother tongue's/English's structure/translations.
This reminds me a bit of Language Transfer - I listen to it when I learned Spanish. But Spanish is much closer to English.

Ich habe den Artikel von Carolin Würfel (toller Name!) sehr genossen. Er bietet interessante Einblicke in Migration, die deutsche und türkische Nachkriegsgeschichte sowie den sozialen Kontext des Sprachenlernens.

A split-screen digital illustration shows the same person from behind seated at a desk in two very different gaming moods. On the left, the room is dark and bluish, and the person faces a monitor filled with a chaotic action scene: a blurred soldier, flying debris, explosions, and strong motion lines make the game feel loud, fast, and overwhelming. On the right, the lighting turns warm and golden. The same person sits more calmly at a tidy desk, using a mouse while playing a cozy point-and-click adventure game. On the screen, an older man appears in conversation inside a detailed room, while floating icons around the monitor, including speech bubbles, a magnifying glass, a book, and keys, suggest dialogue, observation, and thoughtful language learning.
