It's not just hum. Even during read they do that kind of scratching sound. I've been told that's a bad sign but the smart reports of HDDs never show anything bad, for tens of thousands of hours, despite making that noise all the way (when reading or writing)

I got so used to std::thread::scope for creating threads that borrow from some shared structure WITHOUT use of Arc, and I though async would have something like that too... I swear I heard about something like that.

But I've checked tokio, async_std and smol, and all of the require 'static
