$105 Million Reparations Package for Tulsa Race Massacre Unveiled by Mayor

More than a century after the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921, one of the most horrific episodes of racial violence in U.S. history, the city’s mayor announced a $105 million reparations package on Sunday. It is the first large-scale plan committing funds to address the impact of the atrocity.

Grew up in the Protestant faith. Recognized error as a child; when they told me instant obedience or it was disobedience, and that my will needed to be broken for god to use me.

If god didn’t like my strong will he shouldn’t have made me that way, and instant obedience kills curiosity.

Having a disability and being disabled should bring families alongside you. It’s been my experience that the closest family is often the least understanding. And THAT destroys families.

The way that RFK Jr. describes those on the Autism Spectrum is gross. He shows his internal eugenist: people with disability are not “problems” or “broken” or “suffering” simply because of their disability. The thing that destroys families is not the disability, it’s the hate towards the disabled.

Joy is its own form of resistance.

Yeah. This booklet was obv aimed at a Christian family. They were very exclusive so assume that it was “ideal.”

The small-but-infuriating thing is… If we are expected to take our children to music lessons, and attend church for every service, and all those things that were expected of us as mothers… a second car is actually a necessity.

Unfortunately I don’t. I had a bunch of resources I sent a list of to someone somewhere with Recovering Grace at one point to see if they needed them but majority were duplicates so I discarded them into the shredder. 😆

Walking in a Roman amphitheater in Verona, looking down, and seeing an ammonite was one of my unexpected favorite things in Italy.
