There is only one way to calculate a percentage change. This guy has done a lot of terrible things, but I'll be damned if I let him redefine how math works. Math is the only constant we have in this world.

What a boon for accountants and financial advisors. On the plus side, I guess a few LLCs will move from Delaware to NY?
Also worth noting, "he introduced a bill." It clearly didn't pass. That's the normal order of things. If you want to end birthright citizenship, you have to change the Constitution. You can't just do it with a Sharpie.
When Georgia passed their anti-immigration bill in 2011, migrants left the state and farmers had to let their tomato crops die on the vines. I used it as a teaching moment to let students know why there weren't tomatoes on the salad bar. People have short memories.

Ahead of the new CPI release, I'd like to coin a new term: Situinflationship!
A lot of academics complain about their jobs. But, there are few professions where you can have a random conversation and suddenly... 💡, I'm gonna spend the next year being excited about this thing!!! Results be damned!
FWIW, it is an amazing/horrifying book. Everyone should read it.
Yeah, but Obama wore fancy pants at the beach when he went to look at an oil spill.

Regardless your view on birthright citizenship, the case being argued before the Supreme Court right now is not about citizenship. It's about the president can changing the Constitution via Executive Order. If you think he can, watch out for the 2nd Amendment. Our militia is well-regulated.

Why would the military vote for more military spending?
I was born on a US Army base. I lived most of my childhood on US Army bases. The people in my life were either soldiers or their families. None of us ever wished to go to war. We.. they.. knew what war would mean. Many knew from experience, what war meant. We were there to prevent it, not create it
I wonder how people were able to find the time to invent such things.
All of this could've been avoided, if Obama just hadn't worn a tan suit in the Oval Office.
I went to elementary school on an Army base

I really miss the days when I taught International Economics and didn't have to constantly adjust my syllabus to explain why everything that is happening right now is anathema to what the textbooks and centuries of history say. Next week should be fun.
