Here's my year in Cursor.
I've been using it full-time for the past 2 months with the Pro license.
I still used it mostly for side projects during Q1 and Q2, so Gemini 2.5 Pro still dominates.
My tab usage has been in decline since Agents.

What platform are you using for those?
hey there, I didn't know you are there too 😄
Notes for sure. Yours?

It’s a public holiday here, so what better way to spend it than exploring some cool new stuff?
Taking notes, there's so much good stuff. ✍️
Do you know what this is?
Good day,
Celebrating it in the garden with these beautiful flowers. I even felt like running, so I went for a 5k but stopped short so I have something to run towards later this week 🙂
Don’t forget to rest, my friend. You’ve worked for it.
My MCP book is out 🚨
Build MCP servers with TypeScript - a book taking you from "Hello World" MCP to a host-orchestrated workflow in your spare time.
Feedback means a lot to me, so it’s free for those willing to leave a review. 🙂
Reply and I'll DM you the link!
kicking off work with a matcha tea 🍵
I’m drinking it for the first time, let’s see what I missed
Chapter 3 reviewed and shipped 🚢
Two more chapters left, and some closing words, and my MCP book is on the shelves.
Gumroad offers a quick setup for products to check interest. However, with the "pay what you want" model, here's what a creator receives after €1.
Are there any alternatives where people can sign up and leave tips?

Final pass and edits on the book.
More people subscribed (and paid!) through my free Gumroad page, which I set up just to track interest. This is definitely not helping with my impostor syndrome, thanks 😄
Diagrams are cool, adding more where appropriate.
Let's go!
Kicking off the morning in shades, the baby went to bed too late and I feel like I’m having jet lag. 🤒
I managed to get in a training session but felt very heavy. During morning coffee, I finished the last chapter of the MCP book and sent out the first preview.
Let’s go 💪
This is not even a dollar, right?
On the other hand, it’s not even a paid product but a pay-what-you-want.
And sometimes, this is all you need as a small indie educator to give motivation to finish your next book.
Thank you!🙏
This is interesting, thanks for sharing!
hmm, where is this? the only thing I could find is an extension named Docker MCP Toolkit
oh interesting
never heard about Goose, it looks like a UI for LLMS, similar to TypingMind
Yeah, I understand that to run the MCP locally, you need to clone the server's project and install it, that's a drawback.
But what about the installation? For both, it's still editing JSON files, right? It would be cool to have a more streamlined, app-store-like experience for that.
I'm working on my MCP book, and indeed, all my examples are STDIO-based, but I realized I can build quite a few things with them, like a GitHub issue search (using my PAT) or a knowledge base.
I just recently saw a device-based login flow from auth0 that you can use in MCPs which is next on my list
this looks interesting, thanks for the share
the deprecation notice confused me as well
oh yeah premature optimisation likes to sneak up on you 😄
wow nice indeed
these are great numbers btw
got it
gumroad has a flat 10% fee, stripe also takes some
It'd probably be a problem if I were making more serious money there, right now I don't really care.
I just need a platform where I can upload my stuff, market it through emails and make a few $
Discipline involves not only following through on your commitments but also refraining from actions you know are harmful.
I heard something along these lines in a podcast during training, and I think it’ll stick with me for this week.
Did you do your Monday workout?
Thanks! Yeah, it’s simple and works for my simple needs. Wish they had some sort of verification for email subscribers
GM devs ☀️
The MCP book is coming together! I have some more work to do on the last and final chapter where I’m using both prompts and resources. It’s pretty cool.
And I’m launching this week! Subscribe here to not miss it: akoskm.gumroad.com/l/mcp
What are your plans?
I should send more emails
Thank you 🥹
One thing that now takes only seconds:
Comparing different salaries, full-time, contractor, number of days off, and other benefits.
What seemingly looks like a lot better offer, if you deduct the vacations and days off, turns out I would work 20% more for $15/day.
One of my favorite use cases so far
