so over living in germany all my friends are in the sun enjoying memorial day weekend and it’s cold and gray here. again.

went to the coffee shop today and not only did the girl there remember me she said ahh you had the baby?? and i said yes three weeks ago and she said congrats you look so good already! so happy for someone to remember me and for small talk and that i had the whole conversation in german 🥳

i just wanted to leave the house today and i’ve been ready since 1. it’s 4 and still haven’t left. i miss america and i miss having a car and also next time i want to leave the house im not waiting for anyone else.

husband and i went to take a nap nap together while mom watched the baby. he gave us exactly thirteen minutes before he started crying for me (food) and ended up in bed with us lmao. he just wants to be a part of things.

at the store today w my husband & the Gremlin. cashier heard us speaking english & asked where we were from, said the US, asked what we do, husband said professor & i said just a mom. on the way out a woman stopped me & said “never say you are just a mom, it is the most important job in the world”

we were out of the house for an hour. i left my mom with like 4oz of milk that i pumped just in case (he’s never taken a bottle before). just got home. he drank ALL THE MILK. in an HOUR.
