The Kinneil brass band playing outside the Barony Theatre in Boness.

A memorable trip to Bo'ness last night for the opening of Sylvia Dow's impressive and moving new play Blinded By The Light at the remarkable Barony Theatre. The play is partly about the lost battle to save the local colliery in 1982 so fitting that the Kinneil Band were on hand to welcome folk in.

It was smashin to see you last night-thanks for making it along!

I remember a passage in The Peregrine by J A Baker which alludes to this. He finds a recently deceased Heron and, on lifting it, is surprised at how light it is. You’ve inspired me to reread that wonderful book!

I notice the government are not sugesting the power companies give the AI sector their electricity for free.
