In the scheme of things, bookcon is fine. The issue is that the exclusives to being there are lacking. Its hard to spend money on books that I’d have to haul back in my suitcase when I can go on the website for that seller and order the same thing to my house. Over all it’s a great con though!

Ended up also scrapping the kit I got from Michael’s because the pattern was all over the place. It did get me comfortable enough to do the other kits I ordered which finally arrived, but I used to love getting kits from there as a kid so it’s disappointing. Current #crossstitch #crossstitchwip

One of the big problems with my stomach issue impacting how much I can eat at a time is when I grocery shop and my gremlin brain gets excited about the yummy treats that I bought so I accidentally eat a normal sized meal and then I regret.

A side note, I always thought that if work wasn’t in my way I’d have so much time to do my hobbies. And yet my books are still piled up, my games are still unplayed, and while what I do for the day is widely determined by whether or not I can get out of bed I still feel like I could be doing more.
I finally got the itch to start a new stardew valley save. I haven’t played the new patch yet. But I have so much cross stitch to do help 😭

Now I can’t eat most foods without severe pain and I was told by a different doctor I”may need to accept that this is my new normal” because theres no true way to confirm the cause. I understand why he said it but like….I wanted to say would you just accept this??
The weird thing to me is most doctors don’t care about the why, they just try to treat the symptom. I had severe migraines daily from 16 on, tried literally everything. Come to find out I had cci so bad the top guy in the field for these fusions said I was the 2nd worst case he had ever seen.

My violin needs a new bridge and my good bow blew its hair but a dream of mine is to get it in to a Luthier and start playing again. I was hoping to use my cancer payout to do so but it went to an unexpected expense that I’m still mad about. Either way, maybe 2025 will be the year I make it happen.
Honorable mention goes to the entire soundtrack of Final Fantasy 14. I studied music closely as I played violin on an advanced level through college and Soken blows me away every patch. @huskybythegeek.bsky.social also deserves recognition for how hard his covers go.
Anyways my wrapped was a mess because I put a playlist on to sleep to and the algorithm loved my skips. I went through and picked some songs, but ultimately I listened to about 500 artists this year so it was impossible to cover it for real.
