With 2 GKs on the bench... that's certainly a choice
He wasn't on the injury report (Louis was), so either he got hurt or Weiler just left him home. Given there's 2 GKs on the bench...I kinda hope he's hurt. Regardless of his form, choosing to have 2 GKs over an attacking option wouldn't be great
I think he's probably ok unless (until?) we lose 6-0 or 7-0 to the worst team in the league on Saturday. If (when) that happens, he's probably gone
I don't belive Clark is even on the bench
With that much turnover, we gotta start calling these guys the Miami Impact
Overall successful, and at this point trusted. It's not like DC as an organization has a high success rate on signing DPs. At this point, is LOUIS worse than Flores? Or Salihi?
Part of me was interested to see what Munteanu and Pirani could actually do together. But having him play under Hopkins could have also been interesting
I do appreciate seeing Herrera start at RM. Though I do agree that Louis should be starting here
I guess it's the South Capitol St gamer this week?
Will be excited to see if Herrera can sub on for RM to see how that goes. It worked decently at the end of last year at least
I was sort of assuming Rowles being out is probably because of international duty (i.e. the jetlag coming back from being in Australia). Or maybe he's working on a green card there
He's at least been tied to MLS transfer rumors before (I think Orlando was the most recent?), so if nothing else the door seems to be open. How open? No idea. Not saying it would be cheap, but I'd rather spend the money there than on Random Guy from Hungary or something
I've wanted them for a while now to try to go get Alex Zendejas. Wouldn't take an international spot and seems like an attainable target (though maybe not before the World Cup)
I just hope he doesn't even get selected to it at this point
I replied to Doyle with this, but they said during the highlights "we don't have many highlights because DC was so solid defensively" and we really haven't heard that since like 2018 maybe
"We don't have many highlights because DC's defense was so solid" is not something we've heard in like...8 years
OK, a Turner assist on a Servania screamer would have also been funny
I was hoping Turner was coming on for Swrvania. Not because Servania has been bad, but because it would have been funny to see Roche's favorite player get subbed out for his other favorite player
Boring >> Bad
And 4 (i think?) of those 11 have been in the 90+ time frame. Seems like Kijima, Murrell or Clark (who seems to be coming in now) could add *something*
Weiler really doesn't seem to like making a lot of subs
I like Pirani, but he really needs to be a second half sub kind of guy. Hopefully LOUIS gets healthy and can start soon
From what the rest of the roster breakdowns look like, the U22s should not be an issue. Miami, Charlotte, and Orlando are all listed as having more U22s than they're allowed, but all have at least 1 out on loan. Joon/Kim shouldn't impact us signing 1 DP and 1 U22
I'll be interested to see what Herrera can do at RM when he's healthy
You know, when this first got announced I actually checked if DC had a game that weekend and saw they were away. Didn't even think about it impacting the Spirit, but yeah that would make sense
...compassionate?
Seems to say a lot that he's come in for every game too. When was the last time we even saw this much playing time this quickly for a draft pick
Somehow, it still looks better than most of last year
Broadcast has shown WAY more DC fans in the stands compared to what I was expecting at least
