Yazoo ‘Only You’ written by Vince Clarke while he was still in Depeche Mode but recorded in 1982 after he left. It was the debut single by Yazoo and reached number 2 in the UK singles chart in May of that year.
We are super excited that Justin Robertson has been added to The Wake line up!
Justin will be playing both a live and a DJ set, he will play a ‘right old knees up’ DJ set in the evening and earlier in the day, he will be playing live with his Five Green Moons project. #thewake2026
Neil Haydock and I have a new single out in April. We’ve also got about half way recording the album. It is sounding so good. Neil has been sprinkling his gorgeous electric guitars on the songs and it is really wonderful. Can’t wait to share.

Pentangle (David Bowie, Elton John) drummer. We had the original Pentangle line up headline the Sunday night Green Man in 2008. It was so muddy the stage manager had to carry Terry to the stage. They were magnificent.

In 1986 The Waterboys supported Simple Minds in Milton Keynes. They invited Roddy Frame on stage for their encore - a cover of ‘Purple Rain’ - Roddy played the solo!
I got this Tascam 4 track tape recorder second hand along with a Dr Rhythm drum machine in London, many years ago. And so began my home studio recording sessions!
