The effective federal corporate income tax rate:
1950: 50%
1990: 25%
2020: 13%
Stop asking "but how we will pay for it?" Restore the corporate tax rate.
That is how we will pay for it.
This is a chart describing the fall of media production in Hollywood: - TV production is down to 1/3rd of what it was FOUR YEARS AGO. - Film production is down nearly HALF. - Commercials are down 1/2 of what it was. - Even many of the indie media productions are down nearly 1/4th of what they were (categorized as "other" on this chart)
Industrialized film production in LA is gone, as it has become a service sector for tech companies.
- TV is down to 1/3rd.
- Film is down 1/2.
- Commercials are down 1/2 .
- Even indie media is down nearly 1/4th ("other" on this chart)

I like both 3 and 6. Captures action which I think is key for any design like this.
We do not have an official submission policy. We choose a topic, research it, then reach out to colleagues for their expertise. This allows us to build a complete picture of the topic, & incorporate different perspectives. @bobdeis.bsky.social and I have been very lucky in that regard.
If you are on the fence (or stuck in the outhouse) about getting the latest issue of MAQ, then this might get you moving... 😆

What pissed me off was this indie guy being adamant that there was NO WAY it could it be done. I told him using Vertical to promote a wide feature version was going to become more common. Shoot wide, but don't forget to frame Vertical as well. Use ALL of the buffalo. 😉
(steps off soapbox)
With a grid over your viewfinder you can frame the center of the action for Vertical, but also have action for the 16:9. Then it's a matter of tweaking the auto reframe feature in Premiere pro. You're still JUST shooting 16:9 then reframing after for Vertical. Tests should be shot.
If you're using Premiere Pro you can isolate different aspect ratios, so it's a matter of framing within the 16:9 format, then "slicing" it up. Not as easy as I say, but not as hard as you think. I'll post a link later to explain.
