This evening a woman has told me she will ‘come tomorrow, sometime, during the day, will tell you tomorrow’ without asking if I’m free, as if I don’t have a job or obligations beyond waiting on her to show up 😂

The other day I had a guy message to ask general area of pick-up (which was in the ad), read my msg & not respond. I put my phone down for a few hrs then discover he decided to COME HERE from 40 min away without seeing if I was free that evening. ‘I’m here, this is what I’m wearing, where are you?’💀

I'm sure some of them are so out of touch they COULDN'T pinpoint what people want, but there's also this weird 'fuck them kids' attitude permeating into everything.

This type of disdain for feedback/ego even impacts things like how the Bluesky team engages with folks/discusses decisions/priorities

I often think part of this is not that they forgot what normal people want, but some of their heroes (Zuckerberg) normalized aggressively ignoring what people actually want (see: almost every change made to FB) and they're desperate to create a world where what consumers want doesn't matter >_<
