the most annoying but perhaps unnecessary part was PATTERN MATCHING THE PLAID

A dark grey hanfu-inspired sleeveless duster jacket on a mannequin. It has a parallel standing collar trimmed with light blue piping, held closed with a swirly metal clasp. The main fabric is a subtle plaid pattern. The lining fabric is light blue matching the collar trim.

It's like they took "hey you should try to spell & pronounce foreign names correctly", misunderstood how that works in this context, uncritically applied this misinterpreted version across the board, and took it upon themselves to make it Everybody's Problem.
