It recommends to maintain 3 copies of your data (the original plus at least 2 copies); use 2 distinct forms of media for storage; keep 1 copy in a geographically separate location. On Friday, October 17th DPOE-N was awarded the "Outstanding Support of Archives" Award at the Archivists Round Table New York Archives Week Symposium! Thank you to the A.R.T. for acknowledging our efforts and congratulations to the other esteemed award winners.

The team focused on making the training community-centered and based in mutual validation. The results indicate that "the program's key outcomes suggest that confidence, connection, and clarity can emerge not from rigid standards, but from compassionate, people-centered engagement."

This white paper is the culmination of a 4-year program that supported 36 cultural heritage practitioners as they learned to "build digital preservation capacity through reflection, peer connection, and structured assessment engagement."
