Is there any other job in the world where those employed believe they were put there to actively reduce the services and facilities available *to their own employers*. Same with the CoCo down here, seem to believe their job is to cut spending. Success will be when they don’t do anything.

I don’t understand it. If you’re a pedestrian, you must wear a hi-vis? But every motorist who gets out of their car is a pedestrian? Therefore EVERYONE is a pedestrian - we must ALL wear hi-vis… all the time… meaning nothing is hi-vis… I have a headache

How come it’s so obvious to others that one of these things ultimately (and inevitably) led to the other?

Thank you! I’ll make a donation to the RNLI on your behalf. (And I thought the discolouration was deliberate)

Huh. Wheels within wheels. Thanks for the insight. Never fails to amaze me how people can twist their own supposed holy books, holy words, holy teachings, to suit whatever agenda. Gott mit uns.

Did it take an American Pope I wonder? Would anyone other than him have had the balls to say the things he’s saying? Its also the first time, I think, that a Pope has said things I agree with

Too trite to suggest it’s Trump’s America in microcosm?

How come the only people I know who are involved in these protests are people who have already, over the years, shown their ability to be a gobshite when required? Who out there is a non-racist, non-antivax, non-conspiracist who is *actually protesting the price of fuel*?

I love the idea that yes the universe is totally random, and I am happy in my atheism, but I would laugh long and hard if it turned out that *this* particular thing was God’s Easter Egg. I have been wondering about this coincidence since my teens. I accept the randomness, but I’m not satisfied by it

Fuel protest organiser had tax judgments of €550,000 and was convicted of cruelty after 60 cattle died on farm One of the main organisers of the fuel blockades has had six judgments for a total of almost €550,000 secured against him by the Revenue Commissioners.

It's always the ones you suspect the most...

"He was fined €6,250 in connection with a number of offences including leaving an animal with its head trapped, not providing water, not burying carcasses and not feeding animals a wholesome diet."

The self-appointed "leaders" of the Fuel Protests are truly scum of the Earth.
Why our media choose to interview the likes of Duffy here re the protests is beyond me. Do they really think he cares one iota about anyone but his own self?

There are fleeting fancies, sure - who hasn’t had those daytime fantasies about others- but really, not in the top 3?

I’d like, at this point, to offer you a moment to reflect; maybe you just had a Lemsip or something, cos’ gurl you crazy

Will be blocking the second roundabout as you go in to Dungarvan (from the Cork side), third exit only, until the County Council opens an enquiry into the shooting of Archduke Frank Ferdinand. Will take an inquiry into why the ref blew early in the ‘91 All Ireland in part exchange. No tyre kickers

From the Dub-Belfast line (12o’c, RHS) to the next major line (Dub-Sligo, 10o’c), most (not all) of the closures were because of partition. In the west coast, many should never have been built, and just facilitated their own demise by depopulation. These days, the network is actually growing again

My dad had dementia and it (in the early years) just made him *more* him (I know our experience isn’t universal). IF he has dementia, his evilness is simply being *revealed* by it, not CAUSED by it. Not that it needed revealing.

I just said this to herself this morning! He showed us then his ignorance, his cruelty, his lack of empathy, of love, of generosity. He is a monster. Fuck everyone who enabled him, humoured him, and yes, voted for him. What’s wrong with you, that you couldn’t see? Do you see now?
