I’ve been freaked out by both extremes, honestly. Obviously the pedophiles who really do sexualise Diana, but also that one person who thinks men without daughters will automatically sexualise children. What freakish nightmare do they live in?

I feel like I’m going crazy just reading the conversations. Are little girls just not allowed to exist without assumptions of sexualisation? I have a daughter older than Diana so the fact this discourse even exists freaks me out.
If the price is right, it’d last most AM4 users until AM6 I reckon.
Ironically this is probably going to result in a cracked firmware coming sooner.
I remember a quirk where games would sometimes be black and white and none of us understood why. This was obviously because there were NTSC games and most of us were still using RF but we didn’t understood that at the time. I had Scart so they ran in colour.
I’ve often pointed out that the PS1 was obviously domineeringly successful despite widespread piracy.
Oh boy yep. Pretty much everyone I knew at school had a ‘chipped’ PS1 (as they were called). Far more than unmodded consoles. Our weekly market in town used to have stalls full of copied PS1 games. We used to swap them at school. All this was in the UK.
Yeah I think it’s one of the best pack ins ever bearing in mind the period and context.
I didn’t get a SNES until 1996 but it came with this cart so it’s the main one I know.
The only two times I’ve heard of this person, he’s walked out of a TV interview.
Genuine question, what would have prevented literally anyone else making their own NFT of the same Tweet?
Yep. I have one to condense so many generations of boxes into a nice little tiny box, but just like software emulations the cores are only as accurate as they’re made to be.
I find TLOU impossible to play, not because it’s bad at what it’s trying to do, but because I find the way it handles its cast emotionally draining. I’m not saying everything has to be sunshine and rainbows (I love Silent Hill ffs), but I also don’t want 50 hours of emotional despair.
They’re still perceptively accurate for an end user btw, they’re just not necessarily cycle accurate under the hood.
This is basically true for all the high end cores, namely PS1, Saturn, N64 etc. Jaguar core needs dual RAM for cycle accuracy and Saturn core will always need dual RAM to prevent slowdown in some games. N64 core has patches automatically applied to some games.
Planning to rebuild Raccoon City from the ground up. No pharmaceutical companies allowed this time.
Watched the Mario Galaxy movie with family. I wouldn’t watch it again, but it was perfectly fine. Kids enjoyed it and I liked the references. I think the concept of movies-of-games is fundamentally flawed so it largely met my expectations.
Something to try on the overclocked N64 MiSTer cores.
Playing Animal Crossing on Switch 2 and the announcements that Tom Nook does every morning reminds me of when Beat Takeshi does the same thing in Battle Royale.
Angelmaker shirt finally arrived! Perfect for the school run
Looks like they did what I wanted! I'm interested.
Went to a very big HMV today and they didn’t have music of any bands I listen to. Not because the music is too old (that would have been better) but because nowhere sells anything deathcore whatsoever.
I’m hoping for a handheld that feels a bit more premium though. I don’t really like the EXP. It’s not the size, it just feels very cheap. In fact, my first one came with a hardware flaw and had to be replaced.
Arguably Sega Europe were more on the ball with this, commissioning games like Metropolis Street Racer early on, Headhunter was another of theirs etc. They later purchased Creative Assembly (Total War) and Sports Interactive (Football Manager) at a time when those games felt very un-Sega’s
Sega never really got to grips with this. Dreamcast still had a heavy arcade focus from Sega. Peter Moore famously implored Sega Japan to move towards more mature games but was ignored, with GTA3 seen as demonstrating his point.
At risk of sounding like a corporate bootlicker, I don’t mind paying $10 more for physical Switch 2 games if it means they come on full cartridges rather than game key cards.
I’ll be honest, if the extra $10 for physical games means they keep using full carts then I don’t mind paying it.
I’ve been thinking about learning how to do it myself
I bought a PS5 on sale a while back because I saw this coming and want something that’ll still be playing new games in 2035.
