The total annual budget for flying a Challenger 650 private jet 200 hours per year is approximately $1,351,204 or $2,144,112 for flying 400 hours per year.
Or approx $15 per mile.
These budgets do not include the cost to purchase the jet, depreciation or the cost of capital (interest payments.)

Politicians should be expected to travel the public system and experience what Canadians do when they travel on airplanes, buses, trains, etc.. Perhaps then they would take more notice of the problems. Dumping the problem with a private plane doesn't cut it.
Premier Ford has absolutely no compunction. Apparently he believes his snap election in the dead of winter 2025, with less than 20% of eligible voters supporting him, grants him carte blanche for literally any crazy scheme.
Don't forget to add these expenses onto the cost of plane:
- maintenance
- fuel
- insurance
- pilot and staff
- rent a hanger for storage
All will be paid for by Ontarians!
