It looks rather cool being that long and low too. Hopefully the low is only temporary until start up...
I'll have to tick off the Hydropneumatic Citroën box one day, once I shrink the current fleet!

1982 Citroën CX GTi Familiale on FB marketplace.
Hydropneumatic suspension, crazy gauges, 7 seats. Everything about these seems a bit bonkers to me, but that's probably why I want it so much!

$3200AUD

Wow, an Aussie built VH Valiant Charger 770. That must have been a rarity over there!

I just watched his video! Yeah, that can happen. The plug in the centre is tapered and has threadsealer on it, so if its overtightened, it comes out like that. I usually put it in a vice and undo the plug afterwards. I wouldn't heat it, there is a plastic filter inside that part.

Falcon Timing Chain Tensioner
Falcon Timing Chain Tensioner YouTube video by Craig Wilson

The only slightly tricky part with removing the tensioner is locking and resetting it. This video explains it well.

Do you need some chain tensioner o-rings? I should have some here I can pop in the post. Take note which bolts go where in the PS pump and bracket. From memory, there are a couple which are slightly longer than the others...

It's probably the main reason I still have Facebook!😆

Thanks Jim! That other WeirdCar place used to have a great community, hopefully we can build something similar here.

The survival rate here seems very low too. Much lower than earlier Mazdas, probably due to the lack of interest rather than corrosion though.

1983 Daihatsu Handi/Mira on FB marketplace.
I think these were only sold here as 2 seater vans and fitted with the 2 cylinder 617cc engine. Looks a bit rough around the edges, but hard to find now. $1200AUD
