My moth ID account is @mothiduk.bsky.social so hence why I hadn't picked this up. Agree with SFFW most likely.

Last week we said goodbye to our special 'pet', the Garden Dormouse we called Brie. It's almost 5 years since we found her, and with a in-the-wild life expectancy of 2-3 years, that just shows her remarkable resilience.

Saw an incredible interaction between 2 Firecrest and a Goldcrest today at Bentley Wood. At one pt the GC was grappling on the ground with one of the FCs! Barely seen these two take any notice of each other before.

Yes Pale Flax, but is native on Portland, so not necessarily from the bird-seed :-)

Not sure what species might be in Sweden, Debby, but I wouldn't be so quick to call them Early Purple - the infloresence seems quite dense for that.

Just had 2 Sand Martins though over my Salisbury garden. Found a cool local spot overlooking some water meadows by Downton and found some good stuff there lately. Med Gull, GBB Gull, Goosander, GW Egret, Wigeon (scarce on patch), 1st Blackcap of the year today, but also an escaped Chiloe Wigeon!!

Hi Martin. I've no idea why, but just to let you know I get this when I try and visit the Obs website. Never seen it come up before.

The famous leucistic Corn Bunting still with many of its mates on the Plain. Great to see such a big flock!
