Israelis don't do it either. At the end of the day most of us, as most Palestinians, want to live in peace and security.

There's no distraction. It's just important to look at this issue from every perspective. Palestinians supported Hamas in similar numbers. This situation wasn't created in a vacuum. Israelis and Palestinians are similar in that case because both feel the other side wants their demise.

I agree completely, but that does not negate the harm Hamas inflicted on Palestinians and Israelis on its own accord. After Israel left Gaza ~20 years ago, Hamas had pretty much free reign over the area. It used that power to arm itself and oppress Gazan Palestinians.

Many Palestinians (especially in the west bank) still support Hamas, even though it played a major part in oppressing the Palestinians in Gaza. It's not "genocide denial" to oppose fundamentalist and destructive ideologies like those of Hamas or Ben-Gvir and Netanyahu.

The leader of the German far-right party, the AfD, is going to have a conversation with the richest man in the world, on his social media platform. That is dystopian.
