The debate about genocide or not genocide is a distraction - they commited multiple war crimes and slaughtered 10s of thousands of civilians

And we are expected that that didn't get back to the Queen's staff and to Charles?

Keep fighting the good fight - how you look of course is completely irrelevant - but for what it's worth, I like your style - but your thinking, your eloquence, your drive are what really matter

Stakeknife is grim but mostly known — Denton is the real earthquake. A confirmed network of rogue RUC/UDR/TAVR colluding with the UVF in up to 127 murders, some even taking part in shootings and bombings… and it barely makes a ripple?

@mrjamesob.bsky.social There is a lot of news about but how can this not be mega news? Not just Stakeknife but the Denton findings too

Per World Rugby's HIA Protocol, Clarke should have been permanently removed - HIA shouldn't have come into it - but World Rugby doesn't follow it's own protocol - I've been tweeting about it for years - this is the current state of play

I was explaining to my Ukrainian colleague the phrase ‘There’s no such thing as a free lunch’. She told me the equivalent in Ukrainian is ‘The only free cheese is in the mousetrap’ - which is so much better

Not self-defence. Not even collateral damage. Collective punishment. In other words, revenge…

Astonished to find myself agreeing with Lord Sumption but every word of this, on Gaza, from the @NewStatesman’s front page, is powerfully, painfully true.

Brilliant suggestion - wasn't until I had a knee op that I understood properly how awful public transport is for wheels and the infirm

My favourite mispronunciation of an Irish name wasn't even because of the Irishness of it - a Welsh commentator saw Jack Aungier (Connacht, previously Leinster and now Ireland) and went all French with it - fair enough if he was in a French team - but it's pronounced Ain-Ger (like Danger)

If only there were half the outrage over Israeli soldiers shooting starving people queuing for food as there has been towards some rappers mouthing off at Glastonbury, we'd be in a very different place

Yrs ago listening to a Wexford match in a pub in Gorey on local radio - wasn't televised - the few of us there realised how much of a throwback it was - tight game that Wexford lost at the death - commentator asked his colleague what he thought - "those feckin bastards" - we all cheered

NEW: 549 Palestinians now killed in the last 30 days.

Itself shocking. But, EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS KILLED AT A FOOD AID STATION.

A unique war crime. Firing squads using aid as bait.

Palestinians in #Gaza face two choices: starve to death, or risk death to get food.
