My advice to any new guitarist is this:
* buy a guitar stand
(if you have to “get guitar, open case, get out of case, etc” then you’ll never play it as much as if it’s sitting out)
I will never forget my old lead designer at Turbine, Chris Clay, who had a rule:
Never spend more time talking about a design in a meeting than it would take to prototype it and see.

I can’t wear this shirt anymore—it started falling apart after years in heavy rotation—but recent days have reminded me that this message, this spirit never went away. This is still a winning idea.
