Cf. the Bezos Post, "Republicans gerrymandering in Texas is fine, actually" b/w "Democrats gerrymandering in Virginia is a threat to democracy"

No coalition will ever be able to outspend the top 0.1% so I guess they're the only constituency that gets rights.
Mamdani and Polanski are loud and proud about their support for trans people. This political triangulation crap is what got us Schumer's Democrats and Starmers labour
86% of LGBTQ+ people voted for Harris, more than the general population that's LGBTQ+.
In a time of razor-thin elections, you do need us.
Not a threat, simply a fact, and one that most Dem politicians understand.
The tactics haven’t been working, but you’re wrong on what those tactics are. The tactics that are failing is the Dems moving to the right and fucking over marginalized communities. The more Dems agree to fuck over minority communities, the more they lose.
They ain't even trying to be subtle anymore.
I'm never sure what that term means. Hillary Clinton was said to be polarizing, yet from my perspective she's the most middle-of-the road politician ever invented. I feel the same about Newsom, and now someone tells me he's considered polarizing. Polarizing must be another word for moderate or sth.
Both House members. In terms of the history of American presidential elections, House of Reps to White House seems a double promotion. I think of presidential candidates as having at least one of governor or senator on their resume. I like both AOC and RK, though.
When I was a kid it was typical for schools to have a men's baseball team and a women's softball team. It never occurred to me that the reason might be supposed difference in hand size.
trans women*
Her Republican opponent attack-added* her relentlessly as someone who favors "an EV mandate," and she has unfortunately taken the bait and gone on the defensive. For this reason, I can't take her seriously as an advocate of "more sustainable cars."
* attack ad is a verb, no?
I think her calling is more intelligence than politics, and her career peaked in 2004.
It’s like playing three card monte, the Republicans will always have a stupider idea under the next cup.
You'd think they would have picked up on the idea that doing things like "welfare reform" and the crime bill wasn't doing shit for unity or whatever they thought would result, given how the GOP just kept stuffing the Dems into the locker no matter what.
Only Nixon could Go To China, and only Clinton could End Welfare As We [Knew] It.
What if we were to combine "trickle down economics" with another Reagan aphorism, "trust but verify?" What if the role of tax breaks in "job creation" were as a reward FOR HAVING DONE SO?
many of our problems would have been solved if, in the 80s and 90s, democrats/liberals had responded to gop ideas with a lot more "that's the fucking stupidest thing ive ever heard, shut the fuck up" instead of "that's an interesting idea, i have a different take..."
Wut are masquerade balls considered gay or sth?
JACKIE DID IT!
The latest Kennedy assassination expose. Bosh.
(the other trilogy)
Write to Stonewall.
• Tell them you supported them in the past.
• Tell them why you won’t be supporting transphobia.

The aim of the organised transphobic movement is to mandate trans people out of existence, they won't be happy until their targets are dead, it's a movement motivated by genocidal mania, and the cruel, vindictive, hateful bigotry extends from there.
this is basically a "pink triangle" where the options are "be constantly forcibly outed or break the law" and suffer serious consequences either way.
In the bad old days, for example, birth certificates documenting out-of-wedlock births would be stamped "illegitimate."
Trans people can't safely use identifying documents, especially in jurisdictions that mandate misgendered ones. Trans people are just one case in point. Identifying documents exist for the purpose of marking people for life.
I am proud that Democracy Docket was among the few news outlets covering these critical meetings.
Here are four big takeaways you need to know. www.democracydocket.com/analysis/4-b...
These people don’t get it and never will.
There probably was someone like this but they are buried under rubble now.
Also MLK and Mandela in particular were not remotely considered “peaceful” when they were alive.
MLK was hated by white Americans and Mandela was seen as a terrorist by the West.
Nice to hear that deliverism has entered the mainstream discourse.
Have you tried their chicken and dumpling?
5. Some history: remember when the price collapsed in 2020 and you were sad because gasoline was so cheap? Yeah, me neither. But US oil companies sure do. They asked Trump to interfere on their behalf to raise prices and that's exactly what he did. www.reuters.com/article/econ...
