five different portrayals of lady macbeth, their approach and literary review of reviews about their work

i basically got obsessed with the pbs masterpiece macbeth (with sir patrick stewart) and how metal kate fleetwood was in it so i built my whole thesis around it.

A clip from The New York Times reads: "But only the entities that officially paid the tariffs are eligible to recover that money. That means that the fuller universe of people affected by Mr. Trump’s policies — including millions of Americans who paid higher prices for the products they bought — are not able to apply for direct relief.

The extent to which consumers realize any gain hinges on whether businesses share the proceeds, something that few have publicly committed to do. Some have started to band together in class-action lawsuits in the hopes of receiving a payout."

The average American family paid $1,700 in tariffs last year, according to the bipartisan Congressional Joint Economic Committee. Few will ever see any of that money back. The refunds will go to companies, if doled out at all. What a joke.

As a pre-teen author undergoing the incorrect puberty, my own
ZZT games circled the same themes again and again, at first with a
layer of distancing irony that slowly eroded like the mountain
being pecked away by that bird in Hell: they were fetish games.
They revolved around captured princesses, with bare feet and torn
dresses, chained in ASCII dungeons, punished and degraded,
threatened with torture and hardship and peril. These were, in
essence, all manifestations of the submissive woman, the painslut
and pillow princess I would eventually become, but could not yet admit to wanting to be, could not yet admit that such a thing could be wanted.

everyone is currently obsessed with *checks notes* a 1997 game called Moon Child. but did you know other weird games came out in the 90s? you can read about some of them in my new 24-page zine, Shareware Made Me Trans, coming to itch next week!

Equal On Paper As with "massive resistance" to Brown v. Board, Republicans today argue for a legal landscape where rights exist on paper but cannot be enforced.

“At the beginning of April, the conservative-dominated North Carolina Supreme Court put the final nail in the coffin of equitable education funding in the state.” www.liberalcurrents.com/equal-on-pap...

Picture of me in high school with a pope statue around 2008 - likely Pope Benedict XVI. I'm wearing a gold dress and red shoes. I'm gesturing in his direction.

you can't approach an altar in the catholic church without genuflecting. there is a level of respect and hierarchy to the offices of the church built into it. the idea of america over the vatican is just insane.

if you've been inside a catholic church for 35 years you walk past a picture of and likely a statue of the pope every time you go to mass. the idea that a pope does not speak for you and he doesn't like dictate the church is ludicrous
