At best, it’s loosely based on a 2018 Cisco VNI report prediction that “Internet video traffic will be 82% of all consumer internet traffic by 2022” (which is referring to all video content, not just short-form).

Be careful out there folks!

It's crazy how many common #DigitalMarketing "statistics" are either largely misinterpreted or straight up fabricated.

E.g., the currently popular "90% of all internet traffic stemmed from short-form videos in 2024", which is cited all over the place, has zero statistical basis.

I see your point, but I think for many people in the US (and other countries) these things are seen as far away problems in exotic locations. I think that’s the point he’s trying to convey.
