“Switch Axe is too powerful like, whenever I open up equipment screen I have to select switch axe even though I planned to try another weapon. It's the most durable piece of equipment. The weapon seasoned hunters love. An elegantly simple amalgamation of long reach offense and solid defense. It doesn't require gauges, coatings or phials. The shield will block anything from small raptor's claw to mythical dragon's breath. It's so easy, even a rookie hunter can use it; and they do. The Kingdom entrusts their knights with it. The Guild provides it to hunters. Since the dawn of the would-become beloved series, the lance has become the hunter's weapon of choice. After that comes shielded heavy bowgun, gunlance, and charge blade. One thing is for sure, no one was using it to evade attacks.
