Photo of the book One day, everyone will have always been against this by Omar El Akkad. The cover is fully red with the small black silhouette of a child and a missile falling towards them.
This book is a beautifully harsh discussion about the politics of identity, journalism, power, resistance and the self interest/complacency of western liberalism, among many other things. It’s an essential read.
I think we need to celebrate the death of Sora a bit more. This is a technology that, just MONTHS AGO, we were being told was going to literally destroy Hollywood and Disney was going to give them a BILLION DOLLARS and NONE OF THAT EVEN REMOTELY HAPPENED

A Freyja rendition of Tarot's Fortune card, from the Major Arcana: it shows Freyja in a white dress, smiling down agt her two black cats, a massive crescent moon above her with flowers inside of it and at the center a series of sigils and glyphs including alchemical symbols for some reason. The text above reads ~X~ Fortune and below reading The Goddess Freyja. Artist and Tarot set unknown.
Freyja is one of the great teachers of Norse myth, teaching not only Odin the feminine art of seidr, magic and divination, but also mortals who would learn the art; she and her brother also were givers of agricultural secrets. #FolkloreSunday

MSNBC captured the crowd from the Boston "No Kings" rally:
7 million people took to the streets across the nation to protest in defense of our democracy.
This country belongs to the people. We will fight for it with everything we've got.
I just wanna point out that this online No Kings protest organized by disabled folks is offering more opportunities for follow-up and additional action than I’ve seen for any of the in-person events.

A few years ago I was given a project to do that included this topic, and most of the recent articles stated all educators would be teaching less content, becoming tech facilitators instead.
