It's upsetting because there are literally 12000 homeless here, and with the city's $244M housing budget we could just pay rent for ALL of the homeless people in town and not even touch the extra $100M, but instead we're going to put 600 more people back on the street.

An attempt at fancy plating for a cucumber tomato burrata salad. Cucumber slices are on the bottom, topped with a fan of alternating red and yellow heirloom tomatoes. A whole burrata sits in the middle of the fan, with one more slice of tomato leaned up against. Salt, black pepper, and three types of balsamic vinegar garnish the dish.

Did a fancy dinner, cucumber caprese carpaccio salad w/ burrata. I need to take a plating class, I know this could look fancier, but it was 🤌 I usually do a Mediterranean-style cubed/chopped thing with the tomatoes and cucumbers, but I think the texture of the thin slice layers kicked it up a notch.
