It sucks that they want to reduce workforce, and I wish they would allow a hybrid model, especially for those exceptional cases, and the web form could definitely use some work. Having persistent payment or support for Google/Apple Pay would help a lot.
I think Austin audiences are more in tune with the old Alamo story though, but I've not witnessed any blatant phone abuse during a film. Still loads better than the Regal cinema nearby with their lines to order up front, even more expensive food, and endless ads before the film.
I live in Austin and regularly attend two different Drafthouse locations. So far, I've found their ordering system to work really well for me, even when attending with my kids.

Yeah, I saw it with my two youngest and we all enjoyed it, and I appreciated the other parents laughing at some of the cameos and background details with me. Story isn't too sophisticated and has some elements that are regressive, but it worked in the Mario mythos, as self-inconsistent as it is.
