Eh, hes an electrical engineer so he could have fixed it but i think it was deemed not actually that great.
He used to build his own class a amps when he was young. And built our first colour tv, that used to get so hot they just kept the rear case off, until me or my sister nearly killed ourselves

Thursday murder club on netflix is a fun romp, and also features this (spoilers!) tasteful B&O Beomaster 901 amp/radio. I had a hand me down one from my dad when i was 17ish (until i blew it)
I know very little about art funding etc, so apologies if this is a bad take. Its just very hard and very expensive to make a game, even with a one or two man team!
I guess most arts funding is for fairly non-commercial works, maybe thats the difference?
Can my dumb game apply for an arts council project grant? If not, game should get some of that lottery money.
Shame the UK games fund has such a startup-culture/growth mentality.
