Like, a recent example is that dev that made PRs to add an age signal in a few distros’ systemd. While I disagree with such a feature, I don’t really think he was doing it because he’s part of some conspiracy or anything, I think he was just genuinely trying to assist with legal compliance

that highly requested feature you want would fundamentally work differently and is taking longer to implement because of the nature of this platform. the devs are not conspiring against you to withhold features you want.
