Victor has finished the last mech design for the initial batch! This covers five mass produced imperial mechs for the new project, which is not to say there won’t be more 🙂 we need ace mechs and antagonists, after all.

As of this morning, the fifth volume of the Guild Mage series, Renegade, is available on Amazon in both ebook and paperback!

Victor is killing it with this mech art.

Thankfully, he actually listened when I gave him the command to come.

Now he's snoring on his bed while I write this, perfectly content that he has fulfilled his function in the world as a guard dog.

Now our dog, as you may have seen in my author pics, is a pug; and he has found a bobcat just on the other side of the fence, in the undeveloped land at the center of our block, and he is determined to protect us from this thing.

So, everything's fun right up until our dog is in the far corner of the back yard, right at the fence, barking at something like Michael Meyers is coming through the woods.

Well, last night we had a bit of an adventure.

We had a bunch of branches and brush to burn, so I grabbed a bag of smore's supplies and loaded up the fire pit.

The 10 year old, of course, loves fire and chocolate.

That will probably mean some changes to discord, to make this space more encompassing of multiple different series.

...writing and posting chapters on Patreon April 6th. If nothing alters the schedule, we'd be looking at a Royal Road launch right around Monday, May 18th. That would put me 20 chapters ahead on Patreon after dropping 10 day one.

Unnamed Project #1 - Notetaking & Mapmaking in progress. Cover request has been given to Sarah. 14 notecards written out. As mechanical stuff is not Sarah's thing, I've engaged another artist to do concept work for that kind of thing, and he's delivered the first concept. The plan is to begin...

Guild Mage #7 - Feedback given on cover sketch. I need to print out the whole thing and go through it with a pen so I can get it to the editor, that hasn't been done yet.

Guild Mage #9 - Finished on Patreon. The final chapter - 387 - should post on Royal Road Tuesday, April 21st

I'll be doing Guild Mage wrap stuff for the rest of this week, then taking myself a break until April 6th, at which point I'll return to my regular writing schedule for my next project. I may dribble out some teases as I have them ready for you, and the chapters will go on Patreon first.

I may come back, at some point: I think there are other stories to tell here. But I've written 387 chapters in about a year and a half, and I need to put my mind to some other things for a while.

Tomorrow I'll go back and work on some things I want to improve. I've got a few more chapters of book 6 to get ready for the editor, and releases will continue on Amazon for quite a while yet, but for now, this is where I'm leaving this world, the very first notes of which were taken down in 2014.

But I think this is the place to stop, for now. Thank you, everyone, for all your support, your suggestions, your comments. I've loved reading your discussions, and your speculation.

Endings are tough :) I realized as I wrote this that I need to go back to last chapter, because I never actually revealed what happened with *Redacted*. And there's always more you could write about, more you could fit in...
