The N64 games paint such a big picture of the galaxy out there, but leave big gaps or scant characterisation for fans to feel the need to fill them in... because the devs' priority is making a game, why would they fuss over stuff like that!

I'd love to see that! I get your fixation is mostly on one or two characters, haha, but what I've seen has a real richness and worldliness to it.
(I do wonder where's the best outlet for dumping indepth headcanons nowadays, character limits are a bane and i am a wordy motherfucker)

You can't run from it, no matter how hard you try, you end falling into another hole of doubt and rotten memories.
