Sports conditioning class tonight focusing on instabilities, compensatory movements and inbalances.

Proud to say I can claim all three in spades....!

The metaphysical knots they tie themselves up in, trying to defend these actions as being for the common good, also has a kind of slow-motion car crash watchability...

Maybe I'm being naive here, but I'd always kind of assumed that was the only reason they'd started this sh**show in the first place...? ๐Ÿคท

My mum had a weekend job at the Stretford Arndale, more years ago than she probably cares to remember! She grew up in Sale, and the idea of all those shop indoors seemed very futuristic at the time.

Glorious morning for a spin out on the road bike. Only 20 miles, but loving the sunshine and spring colours - feeling so much better for that!

Keep us posted on how she gets on! We'll be away next weekend, but will be keeping an eye on here - hope she has a great day! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿคž

Looks stunning! Never been to Northern Ireland before (my folks lived in the Republic for 10 years but we never made it over the border to visit). It's definitely on my wishlist of parkrun places to get to!

Pretty awesome scenery - where is that?

Another chance to take the frame runner up to #rutlandwater #parkrun this morning!

So great for D to get an opportunity to be up with others running and to enjoy the buzz. Walking with nordic poles is fine, but he enjoys getting a bit of speed back!

I have to confess that he has been known to get payment for services rendered in homebakes and the like.

It's a tough job and all that....! ๐Ÿ˜‰

My son is 6'5". He is the resident tall person, not just for me, but for about half a dozen neighbours.

Can't believe I didn't think to monetise his 'top shelf' capabilities years ago... ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Someone has pinched our village sign!!

Prime suspect has to be another Uffington, coveting our Lincolnshire letters. Hoping @hedleythorne.bsky.social can shed some light on the sneaky goings-on. Has a new sign mysteriously appeared in our Oxfordshire cousin??!

Although Bon Jovi weren't at number 1 for longer than the Hundred Years War, of course.... ๐Ÿคช!

Yep, I know a couple of friends who usually travel everywhere with the England supporters club - even those really obscure friendlies in places you've barely heard of. They're not bothering this time though - too expensive and just too much hassle.

Oh that's not good!

I've had my Proviz padded reflective coat for about 5 years and it's lasted brilliantly - an absolute winter essential on the e-bike. Sorry to hear you've not had such a good experience... ๐Ÿ˜ข

This is a comic-style illustration titled "How to Get Around" by Cycling UK. It depicts various modes of transportation. A person at a gas station notes that cars are "expensive." A train station is experiencing "strikes," depicted by two individuals standing outside. The bus is labeled as a "great option," but there might not always be one available. "Any motor vehicle" is shown stuck in "traffic." A cyclist at the bottom is riding peacefully, representing that cycling "saves money," is "healthy," "reliable," and can "bypass traffic." The Cycling UK logo is at the bottom right.

Sometimes getting from A to B stops being your choice.
Cycling puts it back in your hands. When you go, how you move, the route you take. Just you, on your terms.
With tube strikes expected soon and fuel prices continuing to rise, that autonomy matters cyclinguk.org/advice

I'll be in the village hall on the Monday, doing my usual turn on the teas and cakes. Come and say hello!

I'm loving the rather jolly new scarecrows that we have for our village Bank Holiday scarecrow festival this year. Stopped to take a couple of pics on my e-bike back from #stamford Friday market.

Hoping for a good turnout this year!

Unlike my employer, who simply banned e-bikes.

Because that's really helping staff to travel sustainably to work... ๐Ÿ™„

Bit of a soggy e-bike to pilates class tonight. After the recent lovely weather, I'd hoped to pack the waterproofs away for a bit.

Feeling cheated!! ๐Ÿ˜‚โ˜”

Lunchtime laptop break today - took the e-cargo bike to the shop, then home the long way round. 7 sunny miles and a good fresh air fix!
