I REALLY wish I liked this game more. But it feels so bogged down by what it's inspired by that I feel it winds up being kind of derivative. The gimmick with the manual IS cool but it's hindered by some of the puzzles being a little too obtuse. I can see what it's going for but it was a miss for me

For being made in just a year AND coming hot off the heels of one of the greatest games of all time; this one is really something special. No other Zelda game is like it, there’s so much heart poured into this game with its dungeons, its sidequests and character writing. Genuinely one of the greats

I've not played this one actually, all I remember hearing is that it was scary and utilized its atmosphere really well

Maybe one of the best collectathon platformers ever. Especially in a post Rare age. Characters are fun to play as and varied in how they're used, and the voice cast from the TV show makes it all the better. Sometimes the physics of jumping can be fucky but that's an easy pill to swallow

Admittedly I've yet to play her, but one thing I can and will say is that "Heather enjoying her blonde hair" and "Heather after killing god" are permanently ingrained into my psyche. Also "Lost Carol" may be one of the best vocal themes in a video game ever

The game's biggest sin is that it wants to have its cake and eat it too. It wants to be both the big open ended adventure that BotW was, while also having the structured story progression of OoT, and I feel they COULD have made that work if they hadn't spent so much time to get the physics working

I can count a few select games on my hand that genuinely flipped my head upside down and Echo is one of them. Great writing, uses its cast to incredible effect to tell its story. Also maybe one of the best fan communities I've ever been a part of with how many great friends I've made
