Thanks so much for sharing these, Paula, looks really good! This is incredibly helpful. Once I work my way through some of my current inventory I'll be supplement with some Fomapan and see how it goes.

I'd be super grateful to hear!
Very interesting about the quality problems, I wonder why it's problematic in one size and not others. Those shots look really great! Nice clarity, looks really good. You've once again given me a lot to think about, Tom, I appreciate it very much!
That's fantastic, glad it worked out so well for you.
I'm mostly thinking I'd like to try it on the large format cameras. It would be nice to have an option that isn't $10+ per shot on the 8x10 and I'd be plenty happy with results like what you've shared.
Looks great! Maybe I'm sleeping on Foma but this is the best I've ever seen it look.
blame on Massive Dev here haha. I don't shoot much 1600 either, in fact, k400 to 1600 is about it, and even then only on 120. Anything more 'meaningful' and I'm using big film and a tripod. HP5 at 800 seems to be the sweet spot for me on 35mm. Not really sure if I want to venture elsewhere, tbh
Thanks so much for checking out the post and for the thoughtful insights! I did, indeed, want magic. I'm really bummed about how the Delta 3200 dev went. I really wanted to give it a fair shake and from others' I've seen pull to 1600, it looks WAY better than what I came up with. Again, placing
That rules, I love it
This is as adorable as it is functional. Well done.
Thanks for checking it out, Phil! I wasn't displeased by HP5 at 1600 at all when I consider the conditions I shot in. I will absolutely continue using HP5 when I need a 35mm 1600 speed film, for sure.
Some push/pull comparisons of some film I shot during a loooooong solo road trip.

The brighter side of insomnia is having plenty of time to develop a roll of film, scan 3 rolls of 120 and 2 rolls of 35mm and have it all finished well before lunch.

Beard so gray it's looking like a weird goatee
Self portrait shot through a bathroom mirror covered in etched graffiti and it by a single bulb above the mirror.
Did not expect my first self portrait to be in a middle-of-nowhere bathroom somewhere, or maybe somewhere in Southeast Oregon. Shot on pulled Ilford Delta 3200, no less.

I also open my mouth when I hold a camera to my eye.

Maybe I'm just not posting about it loudly enough
If I could get Kentmere 400 in large format I would be soooo happy.

These are really beautiful, great work!
I just loaded 3 Hassy film backs with Kentmere 400 that I will absolutely be pushing to 1600 because that shit absolutely rocks. Of this I have made no secret and will continue to evangelize.
Wont be at the coast, unfortunately, just making the best of a road necessary road trip.

So awesome, Sand Harbor?
Very cool! I love when nature shows us things like a boar's head in a dead tree. Great catch!
Yes, exactly. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Let's keep it sensible here, 20x24 but I'll build my own camera.
Agreed, so awesome!
I've got quite a few more shots from Bandon and Shore Acres here if you're interested a few other spots:

I sincerely hope you do! The Olympic Peninsula is a must-see. The Hoh rain forest, Ranier, the list goes on and on.
I'm in Vancouver, WA. Centrally located enough to hit the coast, mountains, and gorge with relative ease. Very grateful to be here
Amazing! We definitely have excellent taste in compositions ๐
Shore Acres is likely to be the subject of one of my large format photography portfolios that I'll be making prints of. This was more of a test run and location scouting mission but I'll absolutely be back again and again.
Magical really is the right word.
It is absolutely the same, how cool! How long ago did you take yours? It's stunning!
I don't remember it being that big when I was there a few weeks ago, so I'm wondering if some bits of it have fallen off over time.
