This is Eba. She is a "conservation canine" and very good at sniffing out killer whale poop, which is a data treasure trove for biologists!

In my first(!) feature for @sciam.bsky.social, I went out with researchers who study endangered orcas. With federal funding cuts to science, it's not just the whales that need saving anymore...
