A fully dressed man and woman with a man wearning nothing but pelt underwear (but is not Tarzan). There's also a smiling tiger. The two men seem to gaze at each other. Dressed guy has a cup in hand. Narration: "Later when the three friends have returned, Jerry drinks the life juice. Another adventure of Trojak the Tiger Man in the next issue of DARING COMICS."

Orbán's electoral crushing is a far greater achievement than most people outside Hungary realise.
He systemically consolidated power for 16 years, fixed the electoral map, abused govt power for political purposes & censored media.
The hurdles that Hungarians overcame for this moment were immense.
"He uses pronouns" may not be quite the blistering takedown of me that a certain group of people think it is.
Being married is easy, I don't know why people complain about it. All you have to do is ask what your partner needs, actually listen to the answer, then figure out how you're going to train a variety of woodland creatures to put ancient curses on their enemies. It's literally so simple.
Ha ha - excellent, thank you for listening and I think the "wrong bag" line means I can now retire back into the non-performing void again! Really good fun to do though with some lovely, funny peeps!!
Have dared listen now. I don't think @rileyrouth.com gets enough credit for their tight editing skills!
Great fun to be part of this lovely show and fingers crossed The Archivist returns for further pattern recognition.
Happy weekend, folks!
At least 8 different types of broom hanging outside a tiny local hardware store.
This morning I got to witness the ceremonial 'hanging up of the brooms' outside my neighbourhood hardware store. Felt like I witnessed something secret and special. Such a tiny shop. And so many brooms!
Guys.
Last night Mothra slid into my DMs and I was like, this is so weird, as if I would hook up with a giant kaiju, I mean what the hell is she even thinking?
In unrelated news, I accidentally got covered in webbing and could someone please call emergency services.
A very astute (and upsetting!) piece that touches on four scary cultural trends: 1) The demand for spelled-out moral clarity in stories 2) A growing inability to understand different types of narratives 3) The "customer's always right" version of fandom 4) The growth of fandom as a social identity.
Behold - somehow, I muster inspiration to play an awkward, nerdy person who works alone in a dark room!
Really great fun to get to play along with Riley, Tom et al in their delightful improv world.
Please also make sure to check out the many episodes I'm not in.
With some mild apprehension, please join me tomorrow in listening to the lovely improv radio show @radiogo.show but this time featuring me as 'The Archivist' but, fortunately, with the usual hilarious hosting of @rileyrouth.com and other audio inputs!
It's sunny so I might go outside. Much later this afternoon, obviously. I'm not Superman.
I don't remember seeing an image of Earth before that captures the (thin, fragile, tiny layer of) atmosphere so clearly. I mean, look at that.
Through the Window by Arthur Wasse
It’s called the Cycle of Abuse or the Walker Wheel: calm followed by rising tension, the explosion of violence, the reconciliation, the incremental intensification of violence over time.
“Hello, Emily. This is Gladys Murphy up the street. Fine, thanks. … Say, Emily, could you go to your window and describe what’s in my front yard?”

I love how an old grey plastic thing can evoke so much nostalgia, and a whole world of adventures.
The famous Andor line is that "tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle." Here is a perfect example of that through malicious compliance: Idaho forced the city of Boise to remove its Pride flags. So the city painted rainbows everywhere else.
I can’t take credit for how sick the visual direction of this poker game is (@sanorganes.bsky.social and our programmer played a blinder there!) but figuring out the logic and branching of the game was a really fun challenge, and I think let us do something really cool and new in this chapter!
Thank you very much indeed! 'Twas a lovely, silly sunny day :)
Thank you very much! And very happy birthday to you too :)
As is customary on my birthday, here's Bill Bailey and the Rhythm Section playing 'The Swan' on the Alpine Bells. Genius, delightful, hectic yet... weirdly zen. Please enjoy!

Is it possible to opt out of seeing or hearing anything about this Harry Potter show for the rest of time?
The actual reality of what’s going on with NASA is a real trip when juxtaposed with what a hit the NASA-saturated “Project Hail Mary” film seems to be.
I wonder how many people who enjoyed the film are aware of just how much this admin has shanked all the cool real-world research it featured.
Posts from Josh Shapiro, PA GOV Governor Josh Shapiro • @governo... • 18h Letting our kids be kids also means getting back to the basics. That's why, earlier this year, I signed into law a bipartisan bill that requires cursive handwriting to be taught in Pennsylvania schools. 10 ①7 • 52 Governor Josh Shapiro • @governo... • 18h It may seem strange, but cursive handwriting is a fundamental skill that all of our kids should learn. They may not get why now, but that's how they'll sign their very first check — or maybe even someday, a bill that gets to the Governor's desk (trust me, you'll want good penmanship for that). 2 ① 2 25
Ahh yes, nothing says “let kids be kids” like “using fancy calligraphy to sign checks.” Why, I remember when I signed my first check at the age of 8, using a fountain pen made of whale femur and ink from a Humboldt squid
Would Ray have affably charmed/baffled Peck? Shown him 'ghosts are real, look!!' (KA-SLIME!!) or taken on board valid EPA guidance for unlicensed nuclear accelerators? Could the containment shutdown be avoided? Or was Gozer's ghost Chernobyl a destined event that would find another way to manifest?
Rather than the usual small hours anxieties, I managed to turn my brain to the far more useful thought experiment of 'What if Ray had first met with Walter Peck instead of cocky Venkman antagonisting ol' Dickless?"
I get that both the Ghostbusters and EPA sent their worst for max conflict, but...
It was a joy to revisit THE WICKER MAN with @gayofthedead.bsky.social.
This is such a rich text, so dig in with us!
