I'll never forget the reaction in the cinema the first time I saw this, at *that* plot twist. I've never heard a reaction like it in a cinema. The whole place erupted. It didn't settle for a good full minute or two.

Absolutely masterful storytelling.

Shout out to the mentally unstable owl nesting remarkably near my bedroom window and yelling "RAWWWWKKK" every 3–5 seconds for the past several nights.

Big fan of that.

New loft hatch being installed but they're coming back to finish it tomorrow. So sleep tonight is with a yawning hole in the ceiling.

Follow for regular updates as I hear a strange noise and go up there to find a cardboard box filled with cryptic film reels.

Yesterday (11 April), hundreds of peaceful protesters were again arrested on terror charges for writing placards expressing support for 'Palestine Action.' Most were elderly. Officers were deployed to London from Wales, Manchester, Cheshire, Yorkshire... £££££. #photography #ukpolitics ©

There aren't many non-fiction #books I read twice, but Reza Aslan's Zealot is now on its second turn. It's just stunning. #booksky

Got on board with @groundnews.bsky.social this week and mega impressed. Does a pretty solid job of ironing out — or at least making much more visible — biases and vested interests in reporting. Highly recommend.

This film also goes hard for the highly contended record of "most minutes with Tom Conti on screen before I realise it's him."

Neck and neck with Oppenheimer.

Once again, the continued labelling of a group of people's acknowledged existence as 'ideology' should terrify anyone who's read a history book.

'History is sinking and only a very few seem dimly aware that things are getting bad. Airplanes fly low across the city, crossing in front of the sun. (...) I notice the skyline has changed only recently. I look up, admiringly, at Trump Tower, tall, proudly gleaming in the late afternoon sunlight.'
