This rework buffs AGL to function as more than a turn order determinant.
The Evasion, Elusion, Ward & Dodge reactions now scale with AGL instead of flat %.
Boosting AGL now also raises your party’s evasiveness in battle!
If a character has multiple reactions that grant evasion, they stack multiplicatively.
The new status effect Reflex adds 10% Evasion + Elusion, multiplicative w/ other bonuses.
SCENARIO:
Solaar has gigaboosted xerself to 40 AGL, with innate Elusion Lv.3 & equipped Ward Lv.3.
Both give 40% Elusion, with Lv.3 meaning 1 AGL = 1% dodge.
If Solaar’s targeted, it’s calculated using each reaction’s effect individually. This would be:
100 x 60% x 60% = 36% for the magic dog to be hit, if you hit the QTE reaction bar.
Solaar acquires Reflex, updating the calc to 100 x 60% x 60% x 90% = 32.4% to be hit
SCENARIO 2:
Sharla has 24 AGL & innate Evasion Lv.2, but no Dodge equipped, giving her 0.75% per AGL.
24 x 0,75% = Her Evasion Lv.2 is giving her an 18% chance to dodge attacks.
THE GOLDEN RULE:
(0.5% per AGL) - Level 1: Formula for all Evasion/Dodge/Elusion/Ward skills of this level.
(0.75% per AGL) - Level 2: Formula for all Evasion/Dodge/Elusion/Ward skills of this level.
(1% per AGL) - Level 3: Formula for all Evasion/Elusion skills of this level.
As of P20, no items currently teach Lv.3 Dodge or Ward, making them unobtainable.
