requiring passkeys to log in to something means that there are entire classes of devices that users cannot use to log in to that thing

same thing with the password-less flow where you give your email and the site sends you a link, just because I want to log into whatever site to read an article on this device does not mean I want my email on this device!

my frustration with passkeys is that I as a user do not want logging in to most things tied to a single device

being able to open my password manager on a trusted device and type a password in somewhere I don't want to have my email/password manager/passkey store on is a feature!
