I genuinely wanted an egg salad sandwich for dinner today. From the grocery store. On brown bread. I couldn’t even wait to eat it when I got home. Sometimes I can’t explain myself to myself.
And I swear autocorrect, a basic feature of smartphones for like 15 years now, is less reliable than ever.
Two phones later and I’m not even sure what’s improved in terms of usability. Is facial recognition any faster or more secure than thumbprint? Camera’s better but I mostly use actual cameras for photography. Every new phone just feels like an obligation now instead of a cool new piece of tech.
Found my old iPhone X while packing and it felt so slim and comfortable, my thumb could easily reach across the screen without constantly having to reposition my hand. Had that phone for 5 years and it was already almost 2 years old when I got it. Peak smartphone, if I could keep using it I would.
This time I’m putting multiple such boxes in a bigger box in a self-deluded effort to convince myself I’ve consolidated the random stuff into one box.
Every time I move to a new place I fill a box with random stuff that I promise myself I’ll “deal with later” and never do.
