As ever, two things are true:

1. Caitlyn Jenner is an awful person who does not give the slightest shit about other trans folks and will throw us all under the bus without a second thought

2. If you misgender her, you also don't give a shit about trans folks except as a club against Republicans

I guess I'm still salty because of how many times I had miserable versions of that conversation before I stopped playing EDH.

People, by and large, don't know how to communicate their needs, let alone wants. It's why I've always felt that the reliance on Turn 0 conversation was a fallacy.

Oh my gosh! Take over an empty Blackjack table to cube? I wish I were going to Vegas, I would 1000% try to do that.

Paneer Tikla or Bulgogi. But it all sounds delightful.

No joke, I'm going to try to organize a small event with this rule set. Seems fun for a one-off.

Winter Orb is also somehow not points. There's some odd choices here.

The Kolsch, the Pilsner, or the Lager. I'm a boring old man, but all the rest of that mess sounds horrendous to me.

Didn’t expect to be emotional about a rocket today, but that first reverse shot of the boosters falling back to earth moved me to tears. Humanity has made a mess of the hopes and expectations for the future I held as a kid, and it’s overwhelming to see us reaching for our grandest aspiration again

Can't wait to see it drafted, man! Your excitement about this Cube is awesome.

On the surface it seems more direct and there is an old perception that it is less strategically challenging to play an aggro deck.

These are both incorrect assumptions, but I have heard them the entire time I've played Magic, nearly 30 years now.

I already have enough LRR specific playmats that I could nearly provide for a whole draft pod, but I suppose I will add this one, too.

Seriously. There's 1000 legitimate reasons to decry American culture, but this isn't exactly unique.

Gross transphobia. Decades of eligibility that produced a small handful of athletes competing and none winning medals, but because the next Summer Olympics are in America, this has to happen.

I hate the people who run this country and their insane bullshit.

Every time you post a list I get even more sad that I sold my LEDs and can't afford to get them back any more.

A strip from Something Positive including Mike and his son (forgot the name, sorry, uncle Randy). The drawings is mainly of Mike packing up books, the main point here is the dialogue, which is as follows:

Panel 1:
Son: Orson Scott Card? JK Rowling? These are your favourite books, dad!

Panel 2:
Mike: They're pretty hateful towards gay and trans people and actively work to make their lives worse. I don't wanna support them anymore.

Panel 3:
Son: Can't you just separate the work from the author.
Mike: Some people probably can and I sure tried.
Son: What changed?

Panel 4:
Mike: I realised "separate the work from the author" is easy for me to say when I'm not one of the people they dehumanize.

Is this a good time to once again repost this Something Positive strip that Dear Uncle Randy made a few years back?

Answer: Unfortunately, it is. It shouldn't have to be, but it is.

Same. I grew up as a ravenous fan of that franchise, but it's dead to me now and so is anyone who defends it.

Jeezus. Hoping we can get the bigots out of Magic someday.

Fuck those clowns.

I love the Moonbase Move Loading Times. And I love the glimpses into what it's like to move a machine with so many parts. Glad that Mark VI is working as well as it has and hopefully will continue to long into the future.

January 2013, Grand Prix AC. It was great. Can confirm it would be good again if America were actually a safe place for anyone to travel to. At least NJ is more queer and trans friendly than most of the rest of the country.
